Message A local drifting group had their second practice session here and I decided to come play a bit and see what the Z could do. There was a big turnout with a bunch of 240SX's running various configurations, a few Corolla GTS's, a 350Z, few American muscle but I was the only Z32 in attendance. I had a couple of dead Kumho's mounted to a pair of my race wheels to tear up so I wouldnt have to mess up my nice new(er) ES100s. I had a blast at the event, despite my troubles at the end. I was getting pretty good at it when what I suspect happened was that during the drifts the lateral g's were sloshing the oil to the side of the pan and the oil pickup ran dry. I was running high rpm and so that probably killed it. Likely I'll just drop the subframe and replace the bearings from underneath so not too bad there. Anyway, no vids but I did manage to find some sequence shots from people who took pics.

Another one of my better drifts...

And here's an 'oops'...
